Seems that its NT driver from Y2000 or something. The trick is in buggy default bundled serial-to-usb driver, ser2pl.sys version 1.5 from Profolic. I did not think that I could have droven through Europe without any map or with paper map so I had to fix it during my first stop in Stockholm. It crashed in Kapellskär exactly as it did in Paldiski (unfortunately I left with doing lots of things on last minute so I got around to setting it up in ferry queue the first time). After attaching Magellan Sportstrack with same hardware the XP BSOD'd as soon as Microsoft Autoroute started to read from GPS (from usb/serial port). I experienced the occasional crashes with Regio Atlas + X30 + usb-serial + Magellan Color, it was painful, barely usable - but still usable. Yes, Virginia, there is life after you plug in usb-to-serial converter to XP box.
